Terms of service

By accessing or using Embgig (“the Platform”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Embgig is an online marketplace that connects buyers of embroidery designs (“Buyers”) with independent creators who sell machine-ready embroidery files (“Sellers”). Embgig acts as the platform operator and payment facilitator — we are not the seller of any design listed on the Platform.

You must create an account to make purchases or sell on the Platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Purchases on Embgig are final. Because digital files are delivered immediately upon payment, we do not offer refunds except where a file is technically defective and cannot be resolved by the seller.

You may use purchased designs in accordance with our Licensing terms. Reselling or redistributing the digital files is strictly prohibited.

To sell on Embgig you must apply and be approved by our team. All designs must be your original work or work you have the right to sell, and must be machine-ready embroidery files in the formats you declare.

Embgig charges a 15% commission on each sale. The remaining 85% is credited to your Embgig wallet. Withdrawals are subject to a minimum threshold and identity verification requirements above a lifetime withdrawal limit. Full details are in your seller dashboard.

We reserve the right to remove designs that do not meet our quality standards, infringe third-party rights, or violate these Terms. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

• Uploading content that infringes any third-party copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right.
• Submitting false or misleading information in a seller application.
• Attempting to circumvent the Platform's payment systems.
• Using the Platform to distribute malware or other harmful software.
• Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users or our team.
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension.

Sellers retain copyright in their designs. By listing a design on Embgig, sellers grant Embgig a licence to display the design preview, use it in marketing materials, and facilitate its sale. This licence does not grant Embgig ownership of the design.

The Embgig name, logo, and Platform code are the property of Embgig and may not be used without our written permission.

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Embgig does not guarantee uninterrupted access, that designs will be free from errors, or that designs infringe no third-party rights. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Embgig's liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the applicable transaction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and failing that, through the competent courts of Nigeria.
