Buying designs
What file formats are available?
Sellers choose which formats to include in their ZIP. Each listing clearly shows the available formats — DST, PES, JEF, EXP, VP3, HUS, XXX, and TBF. Use the format filter on the search page to find designs compatible with your machine.
How do I download a design after purchase?
After payment your design is immediately available in your Downloads library (under your account menu). Each file link is a secure, time-limited URL — if it expires before you download, simply revisit your library to generate a new one.
Can I use designs for commercial embroidery?
Yes. Every design purchased on Embgig includes a commercial-use licence. You can stitch the design onto products and sell those finished goods without paying any additional royalty or licence fee.
Can I get a refund?
Because digital files are delivered instantly and cannot be 'returned', all sales are final. If a file is technically defective, contact our support team and we will work with you and the seller to resolve the issue.
What if a design doesn't work on my machine?
Check that your machine supports the format listed on the design. If the format is correct and the file still won't load, contact support — we'll investigate with the seller and either provide a corrected file or issue a credit.
Do I get access to updated versions of a design I've purchased?
Yes. Your purchase entitles you to the product, not just the version at the time of purchase. If the seller releases an updated file it automatically appears in your downloads library at no extra cost.
Can I buy multiple designs in one order?
Yes. Add as many designs as you like to your cart and check out in a single transaction.
Payments
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept debit/credit cards and bank transfers via Paystack. The currencies and payment options available to you depend on your location.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Card details are entered directly on Paystack's secure payment page — Embgig never sees or stores your card number. All connections are encrypted with HTTPS.
In which currency are prices shown?
Prices are stored in USD but displayed in your local currency based on your location. You can switch the display currency at any time using the selector in the header. All transactions settle in the currency Paystack processes for your region.
Selling on Embgig
How do I become a seller?
Click 'Sell' in the header or visit /seller. Fill in the short application form with your store name, bio, and contact details. Our team reviews applications within 2–3 business days.
How much does Embgig charge?
Embgig charges a 15% commission on each sale. You receive 85% of the sale price in your wallet — no listing fees, no subscription fees.
When and how do I get paid?
Your earnings are credited to your Embgig wallet immediately after a sale. You can request a withdrawal to your bank account or mobile money wallet at any time, subject to a minimum withdrawal amount of $50 USD equivalent.
What file types can I sell?
You can sell any of the supported embroidery formats: DST, PES, JEF, EXP, VP3, HUS, XXX, TBF. Pack them together in a single ZIP file. When uploading, tick the formats you have included so buyers can see exactly what's in the file.
What are the requirements for design quality?
Every design is reviewed by our team before going live. We check that preview images are clear, dimensions and stitch counts are accurate, and the ZIP contains the formats declared on the listing. Designs that don't meet our standards are returned with feedback.
Can I update a design after it's published?
Yes. Upload a new version from your seller dashboard. Buyers who already own the design will automatically get access to the new version.
Is there an identity verification requirement?
Sellers who have withdrawn more than $300 USD lifetime are asked to verify their identity by submitting a government-issued ID. This is required to comply with financial regulations and protect everyone on the platform.
Account & general
Do I need an account to browse designs?
No — you can browse and search designs without an account. An account is required to purchase or download.
Can I be both a buyer and a seller?
Yes. Any registered user can apply to become a seller. Once approved, your account gains seller capabilities alongside your buyer access.
