Design licensing

When you purchase a design on Embgig you receive a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual licence to use that digital embroidery file for both personal and commercial purposes under the terms described below.

You always have access to the most recent version of a design you have purchased. If the seller releases an updated file, it replaces the previous version in your downloads library at no additional cost.

• Stitch the design onto garments, accessories, home goods, or any other physical item for personal use.
• Produce and sell finished embroidered products (e.g. custom shirts, hats, bags) using the design. No additional royalty or licence fee is required.
• Use the design in small to large-scale production runs for your embroidery business.
• Modify the design digitally (resize, re-color, combine with other elements) for your own finished goods.

• Re-sell, share, redistribute, or give away the original digital file (ZIP, DST, PES, etc.) — paid or free.
• Upload the file to any other design marketplace or file-sharing platform.
• Sub-licence the design to a third party for their own use or distribution.
• Claim the design as your own original work or register it as a trademark.
• Use the design in a way that violates any applicable law, including using designs that incorporate third-party trademarks or copyrights without authorisation.

All designs sold on Embgig remain the intellectual property of the original creator (the seller). Your purchase grants you a licence to use the file — it does not transfer ownership or copyright.

Free designs listed on Embgig are subject to the same licence terms as paid designs. “Free” refers to the purchase price only — the same usage rules apply.

Because embroidery design files are delivered digitally and are immediately accessible after purchase, all sales are final. If you experience a technical issue with a file, contact our support team and we will work with you and the seller to resolve it.
